One Year Mark

HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I GOT YOUR PACKAGE AND IT WAS SO AWESOME!!! I seriously loved all the photos! It was cool to see people I have almost forgotten about haha - oooops - I love you guys a ton!!!

My one-year mark was cool! We were going to go to Panajachel, BUUUUTTTT a missionary broke her foot, and we had to send her home that day! It was still a good day -just relaxing and enjoying the day! I burnt my shirt and we made cookies with ice cream. So it was pretty dang fun!! I talked with President a couple days ago and he said ¨so you have a year, work as hard as you can, but remember that you have one year to prepare for the world" that kind of scared me! The first year flew by so quickly and I know this next year will fly by as well!

We have been working hard here, but things just keep hitting a wall. The family that went to church last weekend isn't married, and one of them has to get divorced from some else first (shoot me). We can still baptize their kids; it just sucks because the parents are awesome. I wanted to baptize them, but its all good, it won’t be the first time I find a family and they get baptized right after I leave the area.

Pres. Nelson is coming on Tuesday.  Which means next week is going to be crazy! I’m stoked to hear from him!! This is going to be my second time listening to an apostle on my mission! I’m super stoked!!

I love you a ton and thanks for everything!

A Church in my Area

Wow! I can’t believe it’s a new school year again. I remember Grant coming home from his first day of school the day I left. That’s a crazy thought! The time is flying by and I’ve basically been gone from you guys for 365 days!!! Another crazy thing!

This week has been pretty normal. They told us the chapel in our area will be done the 20th of September. (It was suppose to be done in June) I’m pretty stoked to finally be there and have a church in my area (I haven’t had a chapel in my area so far in my mish) Hopefully, we are going to see some progress because people will not have to travel so far.

We had a family go to church this week and I think they are going to get baptized this next weekend! Just have to keep working with them to keep them on track. I’m stoked.

This week we are going to a place called Panajachel and Lake Atitlan. I’m stoked for that! I'll send pics when I have them.
Peace!

My Life Lately - Contacting

Just riding on the back of a bus! ;)
I have less than a year left - that’s some crazy stuff if you ask me! I never thought I would get to this day but now the time is flying and here I am!!!

This week has been pretty normal! We have been working like crazy here in the office to get ready for all the conferences. We went to one conference on Wednesday and it was really good! We watched the video we made and everyone was laughing –it’s pretty funny! We also have President Nelson who is coming to visit us at the end of this month. Therefore we have been running around doing a ton of stuff!

We have also been working like crazy to find people to baptize! We have a couple people progressing and going to church. Right now I’m driven by a desire to baptize. I'll tell you one thing, I’m not scared to talk to people anymore! At first I did not like contacting in the streets, I got scared all the time, but now I don’t even care. You can ask anyone in Boca Del Monte if they know me, and they would probably say I’m the gringo who always tries to talk with them on the street or on the bus hahaha! That’s been my life lately...contacting! The people here are kind of hard of heart so it’s been hard for them to let us in. It’s just more evidence of the second coming of Christ, people don’t want to listen! It’s fine, I’ll keep bugging them until they want to listen ;)

There isn't much more so I love you guys and thanks for everything!

Video Skills

You are guys are trekking it up right now but I thought I would send a quick little message!

This week has been busy! We have been preparing for all the zone conferences. We have been spending a lot of time in the office, which is super boring. I did get some good news today.... NEXT CHANGE I’M GOING TO TRAIN IN THE OFFICE!!! This is amazing news because I thought I was going to be here until November, but now I’ll just be here until the beginning of October. I’m super stoked! The office is cool it’s just hard to focus on finding people to baptize here! So the 10 week countdown to the real mish life starts today!!!:)

This last Sunday we didn’t baptize because the two people we were going to baptize had an emergency and couldn’t make it to church. We will see how it goes this weekend!!

This week we made a video for the conferences and it was pretty fun to make some videos and show off my video skills;) haha! Tomorrow we are heading to the mountains to run some errands and have a little p day up there!

Thanks for everything and for always writing!
